Many of us have been conditioned to be "selfless", to put our own wishes and desires to one side, and to tend to the wishes and desires of those around us. Nowadays we all lead busy lives, and a busy mind tends to be an uncreative mind, because the focus is on doing day-to-day "stuff", rather than experiencing life.

Creative ideas need time to brew. They most often flourish when you're feeling calm, relaxed and enjoying being yourself. It's important, therefore, to find time to sit and watch the world go by, without constantly worrying about things you need to get done, and to give your conscious, chattering mind a chance to switch off so that your imagination can run free.
